Job summary

HNTB in the Seattle/Bellevue area is seeking a structural engineer to design building structures, including sports, airport and transit facilities, while performing design and construction administration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of steel, concrete and masonry, and proficiency with Revit/BIM 360 and ETABS, SAP2000, or RISA 3D. Teamwork and timely task management are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Building Codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides structural engineering analysis and design of building structures including sport, airport, transit facilities and more in support of HNTB’s national architectural practice.
Designs framing and foundation systems for steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, and wood building frames.
Participates in construction phase services such as answering questions, reviewing submittals, and site observations.
Prepares design drawings and specifications.
Performs detailed checks or coordination of design aspects within a project.
Performs other duties as assigned.
