Job summary

Techno is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our Princeton office. You will manage and execute civil engineering projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within scope, while upholding high quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings a PE license, 6–15 years of structural experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD/STAAD Pro. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors and supervise project deliverables throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 6–15 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency in structural design software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Mathcad).
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, local regulations, and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on structural projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
• Produce design tasks, bid drawings, specs, and organize all deliverables under senior staff supervision.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify alignment with design and safety guidelines.
• Oversee documentation including permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns and providing updates.

• Perform design tasks, prepare bid documents including drawings and specifications, and organize all drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables, with supervision from project managers and senior staff.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to facilitate project success.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure projects align with design and safety guidelines.
• Oversee project documentation, including permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

COMPENSATION

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $120,000-$170,000/yr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
