Job summary

STV currently has openings for Structural Design Engineer in our Transportation group based in our Empire State Building office in New York, NY. Field locations in NYC Metro Area.

Primary responsibilities include design and analysis of bridges, rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities; participation on Design Build projects and pursuits; QA on transportation projects; preparing contract documents; bridge load ratings; and review of construction submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• PE license ( NY preferred ).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of NY agencies and projects (MTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDCC, Port Authority of NY).
• Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Specification writing and cost estimating.
• Mentoring and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Compensation Range

$149,671.54 - $171,053.19
