Job summary

ADTEK Engineers, Inc. seeks a Structural CAD Technician in Frederick, MD to join our cold-formed / light gauge steel department. You will prepare construction documents, set up drawings, and coordinate plan references across drawing sets while aligning with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of CAD drafting experience in building design, structural engineering, architecture, or related field.
• General understanding of construction drawings and project documentation.
• Experience with structural drafting and cold-formed steel projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate construction documents, revise drawings based on engineer markups and redlines, set up project drawings and organize sheets.
• Develop structural details and drawing content, select standard details, create non-standard details with engineers.
• Support quality and project delivery by reviewing work, incorporating feedback, meeting deadlines, and communicating workload needs.
