Job summary
ADTEK Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural CAD Technician to join our cold-formed / light gauge steel department in Frederick, MD. This full-time role offers opportunities to develop technical skills while contributing to a variety of structural design projects.
You will prepare and coordinate construction documents, develop structural details, and support quality control. The ideal candidate has 3+ years CAD drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, with a focus on steel design.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of CAD drafting experience in general building design.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documents.
- Experience with cold-formed steel design is preferred.
- High school diploma required; associate degree or technical CAD training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate construction documents for structural projects.
- Develop structural details and maintain drawing standards.
- Support quality control and review drawings for accuracy and coordination.
- Collaborate with engineers and mentor junior team members.
