Job summary

ADTEK Engineers, Inc. in Frederick, MD is seeking a Structural CAD Intern for high school students to support basic structural CAD and BIM design under licensed engineers. This role includes hands-on drafting and collaboration with project staff.

Qualifications

As a high school intern, you will participate in projects by assisting in basic structural CAD and BIM design, supervised by professional licensed engineers. Job functions may include, but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for Revit Modeling and AutoCAD design and drafting of building and related structures
• Setting up backgrounds, schedules and details for structural projects
• Translating all mark ups into drawings
• Checking and plotting drawings
• Using developed standards and procedures to determine design criteria, drawing sequence and presentation.

Job Requirements

• High school student enrolled in an CAD course or has prior CAD experience
• Consistent availability during the school year (the exact schedule would be determined after placement)
• Ability to study comments provided by engineer or project manager and double-check your own work for accuracy.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.

Salary:The salary range for this position is an estimate of $15/per hour. A final compensation offer will be based on factors including an individual's skill sets, experience, knowledge, and licensure and certifications.
