MAU is hiring a Structural CAD Designer for our client in Charlotte, NC.
As a Structural CAD Designer, you will produce detailed construction drawings, perform structural calculations, and support innovative boardwalk design projects using AutoCAD and proprietary tools. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
General Requirements
- Ability to work on fast-paced projects and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Capable of developing complete sets of construction and fabrication drawings
- Strong team collaboration and workload sharing skills
Essential Functions
- Report to the Director of Engineering
- Operate in alignment with the company’s core values
- Travel occasionally as needed
- Use AutoCAD to produce accurate construction and shop drawings
- Use proprietary DH CAD software to create preliminary drawings for the sales team
- Perform structural calculations for our client's components
- Apply relevant sections of AASHTO, ACI, ASCE, and applicable building codes
- Review and check peer drawings for accuracy
- Develop a deep understanding of our client’s precast concrete boardwalk systems and manufacturing practices
