Job summary

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. in Brentwood, TN seeks a BIM Technician to join the Structural Engineering Group.

You will create detailed 3-D models from construction documents and develop designs with precise dimensions and materials. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in structural engineering design, a 2- or 4-year degree in Architectural Technology or CAD Drafting, and strong Revit/BIM/3D software skills.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design or related education.
• 3–5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Able to interpret and read construction drawings.
• Strong communication of engineering requirements.
• Proficient in Revit, BIM and 3D software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with multiple groups to coordinate information.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction documents to create detailed 3-D models.
• Develop detailed designs with dimensions, materials and procedures.
• Layout and draw schematic views to depict functional relationships.
• Review specs and drawings to assess design factors.
• Annotate drawings with notes and instructions.
• Revise designs to fix operating deficiencies and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to deliver accurate results.
• Coordinate with team to maintain quality and schedule.
• Create reports and downloads to assist teammates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
