Job summary

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is seeking a BIM Technician to join our Structural Engineering Group in Brentwood, TN. You will model structures in 3-D, specify materials, and prepare detailed drawings for construction and detailing.

The role requires 3-5 years of structural design experience and strong Revit/BIM/3D software skills, with the ability to read construction drawings and coordinate with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 2 or 4 year degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design or related education.
• 3-5 years of previous experience in structural engineering design.
• High proficiency operating in Revit/BIM/3D software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and communicate engineering requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction documents to create detailed 3-D models for construction and maintenance.
• Develop detailed designs with dimensions, materials, and procedures.
• Layout and draw schematic views to depict relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structures.
• Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas to assess factors affecting designs.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to provide accurate deliverables.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality and schedule.
• Create reports and downloads to assist team members.
