Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Chamblee, GA is seeking engineering graduates to join our Structural Team in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities across high rises, hotels, bridges and more with mentorship and formal training.

You will perform structural calculations, prepare drawings and specifications, and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver innovative design solutions while ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental or Structural Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze vertical structures, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Perform structural calculations and prepare drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop innovative design solutions.
• Utilize structural design software and tools to support design efforts and produce accurate models.
• Participate in field inspections and site visits to gather data and ensure structural integrity.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and technical documentation for client review.
