Job summary

Kimley-Horn's North Austin, TX office is seeking Engineering graduates to join our Structural team. This is an in-office role focused on bridges, retaining walls, and other structural design projects in the Austin area.

You will prepare bridge/structural plans, gain mentorship, and work with plan production, project financials, and client interactions as you develop practical skills for a successful civil engineering career.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley OpenRoads.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Job description

Overview

Kimley-Horn's North Austin, Texas (TX) office is looking for Engineering graduates to join their Structural team. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • You will have the opportunity to work on bridges, retaining walls, and other structural design efforts related to public and/or private bridge projects throughout the city
  • Prepare bridge/structural plans, specifications and estimates for clients
  • As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
