Job summary

The Structures Company seeks a Structural Analysis-Stress Engineer to perform stress analysis on new airframe designs and update analyses for design changes. You will analyze subsystems, MRB cases, and installations using leading FEA tools and CATIA for design and analysis.

Active Secret clearance and ITAR compliance are required. The role requires strong UNIX/Linux skills and hands-on experience with NASTRAN, PATRAN, Abaqus, HyperMesh, TMP Vision, and CATIA V5/3DX.

Qualifications

Performs stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure. Updates existing analyses to incorporate design changes. Performs stress analysis of subsystems and subsystem installations. Performs MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structures. Uses FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN. Uses Abaqus for stress analysis. Uses Altair HyperMesh as a pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing. Uses CATIA V5/3DX for design and analysis. Interprets detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models. Performs airframe primary structure layout and sizing.
