Job summary

KRATOS C5ISR is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join the Engineering Analysis group. You will apply hand calculations and FEA (ANSYS) to modify existing shelter designs or create new ones for DoD applications, delivering validated models, documentation, and design reviews.

Responsibilities include managing effort within budget, communicating with internal/external stakeholders, supporting testing and data reduction, and ensuring QMS compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Aerospace preferred.
• Proficiency with classical stress analysis required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with FEA (ANSYS preferred).
• Familiarity with the Defense industry preferred for mid-career; required for mid-career applicants.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as Structural Analysis Engineer for simple and complex projects.
• Manage effort and time within budget and schedule.
• Prepare designs per customer requirements and derived specs.
• Produce formal engineering documentation and analysis reports.
• Prepare and present design review material for stakeholders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and support testing, data reduction, and reporting.
• Validate models with test plans and reports.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean.
• Comply with QMS procedures and support quotes/proposals as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
