Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer to size and layout unmanned aircraft structures and ground support equipment.

You will perform FEM analyses (Hypermesh/Femap/Patran/Nastran) and contribute to weight optimization under guidance, while supporting aeroelastic and dynamic evaluations. The role requires a BS in engineering, 2–3+ years experience at higher levels, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to meet performance and

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
• 3+ years related experience in engineering discipline (II level).
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Hypermesh/Femap/Patran and Nastran. Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus may be substituted for 1 of the 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of structural analyses related to aircraft hardware design and assemblies to meet performance requirements.
• Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (drawings, specs, parts lists, interface control documents, test procedures).
• Prepares and presents design review material for technical interchange with suppliers and customers.
• Supports system testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.
• Supports flight testing, data reduction, analysis, and reporting.
