Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Rehab Tech to join the Stroke Team, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The role supports therapists and therapy assistants, assisting with preparation and treatment of patients receiving therapy services.

You will help maintain a clean, safe clinical environment, transport patients, monitor responses to treatments, and support administrative tasks while upholding patient confidentiality and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the Stroke Team.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and identify age-specific needs in care.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as requested by therapist and supports patient transports and transfers with proper body mechanics.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workplace, restocks equipment, and adheres to infection control policies.
• Maintains charts and documents as requested and protects patient confidentiality.
• Acts as patient advocate and supports the therapist in treatment planning and delivery.
• May assist in inventory and equipment maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Performs assigned duties across inpatient programs under therapist direction.
