Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral level degree as a nurse practitioner.
• Current NP certification and eligibility for licensure.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS

Responsibilities

• Treat acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes in inpatient Stroke Neurology team.
• Coordinate code strokes with physicians in real time.
• Determine eligibility for alteplase and mechanical thrombectomy.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on care and prevention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinicians to optimize patient care.
• Maintain EMR use as it relates to patient care.
