Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks an experienced Neurology Nurse Practitioner for a 8-week inpatient coverage in Alabama. The clinician will work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, collaborating with 1–2 neurologists. Board certification, ACLS/BLS, and prescriptive authority are required, with an active state license or IMLC.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient coverage for general and stroke neurology.
Daily patient rounding and responding to stroke alerts within 15 minutes.
Order, collect, and interpret diagnostic tests; manage meds.
Coordinate referrals, discharges, and patient/family education; ICU rounding as needed.
