OSF HealthCare is seeking a Stroke Navigator to support the stroke center program requirements within the hospital. The role acts as a liaison between program standards and departments, educating staff on care and documentation, and assisting regional facilities to meet accreditation standards.
Required qualifications include a BSN, two years in neuroscience, IL RN license, ACLS, and certification in SCRN/ANVC/ASC-BC/CNRN within 12 months.
Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The stroke navigator contributes to the local performance of the stroke center requirements. Serves as a liaison between the program requirements and hospital departments, as well as educating Mission Partners regarding the standard of care and documentation requirements of the stroke patient. The stroke navigator also serves as a resource and support to regional hospitals as needed. Fosters and maintains positive relations among physicians, medical center personnel and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes are achieved. The stroke navigator works collaboratively with the accreditation coordinator to ensure successful implementation of programmatic standards of performance.
