Job summary

Q-Centrix is seeking a data abstraction specialist (SCDS - Senior Clinical Data Specialist) to support hospital partners nationwide. You will apply clinical expertise to categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry information from medical records, ensuring high-quality data submissions.

Candidates should have experience with EMRs and multiple clinical databases, strong MS Office skills, and a meticulous approach to accuracy.

Qualifications

At least one year of direct abstraction experience in the Get With the Guidelines Stroke registry.
Experience with multiple EMR systems and clinical databases.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint).
Strong analytical and critical thinking with high accuracy.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems.
Thrives working independently and takes ownership of projects.
Clear communication with hospital partners and team members.
Strong time management to handle multiple accounts.
PHI security and confidentiality commitment.
Direct clinical experience preferred.
RN or LPN credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply clinical knowledge to categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry data from patient records.
Ensure accurate submission of data to registries and data repositories.
Prioritize and meet deadlines while flagging obstacles and proposing solutions.
Navigate EMR and registry entry tools, troubleshooting issues with a solutions focus.
Contribute to data dictionaries, guidelines, and process improvements.
Keep up to date on regulatory/public data requirements from federal, state, payer and others.
Any or other additional responsibilities as assigned.
