MedStar Health in Olney, MD seeks a stroke coordinator to lead the coordination and implementation of stroke services. You will act as a liaison among physicians, nursing staff, allied professionals, patients and families to ensure high-quality care across the continuum.

Requirements include BSN/MSN/CNL, active RN license (MD/compact), ACLS and NIHSS, and at least 2 years of clinical RN stroke experience (2+ years program development preferred).

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact State) required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certification required.
• Two years of clinical RN experience in stroke care; program development experience preferred.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities

The stroke coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing services and activities related to the stroke program.
He/she functions as a liaison between the physicians, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, patients and families.
Coordinates and facilitates the care for the stroke patient throughout the continuum.Works closely with the multidisciplinary
healthcare team to ensure clinical care path is followed.

Qualifications

• BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an registered nurse including care of stroke patients. Two years of program development experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN, ACLS and NIHSS required.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $89,065.00 - USD $162,801.00 /Yr.
