Job summary

University Clinical Health (UCH) seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide hospital-based patient care at Methodist University Hospital, under physician supervision. Required is a TN NP license with NP certification and prescriptive authority; 3-5 years of NP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with NP certification and prescriptive authority.
• Tennessee NP license is required.
• 3-5 years of NP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under physician supervision in the hospital.
• Assess and diagnose patients with acute stroke symptoms.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Perform patient procedures and order tests as needed.
• Document charting and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Communicate findings to attending physicians and care team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and next steps.
• Ensure timely prescription writing and discharge planning.
