Job summary

Merit School of Music seeks a full-time Strings & Orchestra Program Manager to serve as the hub for Chicago's youth strings and orchestra programs. The role ensures materials, attendance, room reservations, and cross-team coordination for rehearsals and performances.

The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit. A hybrid schedule with on-site onboarding is provided, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Adaptable and receptive to feedback; collaborative in a team.
• Organized and detail-oriented with reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Class and activity scheduling, room reservations, and faculty schedules.
• Ongoing communication with families and strings faculty; timely follow-ups.
• Coordinate instruments, sheet music, and supplies with the Librarian.
• Plan and support concerts, rehearsals, and student recruitment events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
