Job summary

The YMCA of Delaware seeks a Program Specialist Stretch Therapy at the Bear-Glasgow YMCA Family Location in Newark, DE. The part-time role leads therapy sessions, designs mobility-focused wellness plans, and evaluates progress with members to promote recovery and functional fitness.

You will collaborate with trainers and therapists, support wellness workshops, and uphold a safe, clean therapy space while staying current with the latest stretch techniques through continuing education.

Qualifications

• Certification in Stretch Therapy or Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• 1–2 years of experience in wellness, fitness, or rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one and group stretch therapy sessions using safe techniques tailored to individuals.
• Design and implement personalized wellness plans focusing on mobility and functional fitness.
• Conduct initial assessments to determine mobility restrictions and flexibility levels.
• Educate members on stretch therapy benefits, recovery and preventative care strategies.
• Track progress, reassess goals, and adjust programs accordingly.
• Collaborate with personal trainers, physical therapists, and group fitness instructors.
• Support wellness workshops, outreach events, and health fairs promoting stretch therapy.
• Maintain clean, organized stretch therapy spaces and equipment.
• Stay current with trends and continuing education in mobility science.
