Job summary

The Dover YMCA Family Location in Delaware is seeking a Part-Time Program Specialist Stretch Therapy to lead one-on-one and group sessions, design mobility-focused plans, and assess client needs in our Dover facility. You will educate members on recovery, track progress, collaborate with fitness professionals, and contribute to wellness workshops while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include Stretch Therapy certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, and 1–2 years in wellness;

Qualifications

• Certification in Stretch Therapy or Fascial Stretch Therapy required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
• 1–2 years of experience in wellness, fitness, or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Multilingual abilities preferred; NCCA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one and group stretch therapy sessions.
• Design and implement personalized wellness plans for mobility, recovery, and functional fitness.
• Conduct initial assessments to determine mobility restrictions and flexibility levels.
• Educate members on stretch therapy benefits, recovery protocols, and preventative care.
• Track and document client progress, reassess goals, and adjust programs accordingly.
• Collaborate with trainers, physical therapists, and group fitness instructors.
• Support wellness workshops, outreach events, and health fairs promoting stretch therapy.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe stretch therapy spaces and equipment.
• Stay current with trends in wellness and mobility science through continuing education.
