Job summary

This per diem daytime position supports the Cardiology team with accurate test results and patient comfort. Eligible for daily shifts with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two-year allied health degree preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac physiology acquired on the job or via formal training.
• Experience in a medical setting is preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient and outpatient cardiac stress tests to physician orders.
• Interviews patient for symptoms, medications and cardiac history; documents in chart.
• Prepares patient for procedure and properly places electrodes.
• Records baseline EKG, blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels.
• Assists physician with monitoring and documents vitals during testing; notifies staff of adverse reactions.
• Completes patient worksheet and finalizes report for physician review.
• Cleans testing equipment after each exam.
