Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Cardiac Echo Technologist to perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms for adults in inpatient and outpatient settings. New grads welcome and sign-on bonus offered.

The role requires ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS credentials, an associate degree in echocardiography or equivalent experience, and BLS certification. You will work under supervision, support cardiology teams, and participate in on-call duties within a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in echocardiography or relevant clinical experience leading to registry eligibility.
• ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS accreditation or accreditation eligible and current BLS certification required.
• Must meet licensure, certification, registration requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures including Transthoracic Echo, Transesophageal Echo, and Stress Echo.
• Produce accurate clinical information used by cardiologists for diagnosis.
• Respond to cardiac arrests as required and participate in on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot echocardiography techniques and ensure a safe testing environment.
• Document tests and retrieve/send data using clinical/financial information systems.

These include but are not limited to, Transthoracic Echo, Transesophageal Echo, and Stress Echo.Performs all testing procedures in echocardiography listed in the department protocols.– Performs diagnostic exercise/pharmacological stress echocardiograms. In doing so, produces accurate clinical information used by the cardiologist for the diagnosis of cardiac medical disorders.– Responsible for responding to cardiac arrests as required.– Responsible for participating in the on call rotation– Troubleshoots technical methods of echocardiography as necessary.– Ensures a safe testing environment in all daily operations.– Demonstrates ability to retrieve and send data utilizing the clinical and financial information systems.– Understands physician orders and appropriate documentation.– Ensures adequate documentation in the medical record, test report according to department policy and procedures.– Communicates, orally and in writing, effectively to promote teamwork and team problem solving efforts.– Adapts to and works effectively in a variety of situations and settings, for example, special precautions disabled and dialysis patients.– Provides explanation of prep for testing procedures.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Associate degree and/or graduate of an accredited echocardiography program or relevant clinical experience resulting in registry eligibilityLicensure, Certification, Registration: Requires ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS accreditation or accreditation eligible and current basic life support (BLS) certification.Pay Range:$46.00 – $68.35The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
