Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a cardiac stress test technician to support inpatient and outpatient testing. You will interview patients, prepare them for procedures, collect baseline vitals, and assist physicians with monitoring during tests, documenting results in the chart.

As part of the clinical staff, you will ensure accurate test administration, maintain equipment, and uphold patient safety and comfort while contributing to timely, quality test results for physician review.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of cardiac physiology (on the job or via training).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient and outpatient cardiac stress tests to physician orders.
• Interviews patient for symptoms, medications and cardiac history; documents in chart.
• Positions electrodes, prepares patient and conducts test; ensures proper testing technique.
• Records baseline EKG, BP, heart rate and oxygen levels.
• Assists physician with monitoring and notes vital signs during testing.
• Completes patient worksheets and finalizes reports for physician review.
• Cleans testing equipment after each exam.
