Job summary

Avera St Luke's is seeking a PRN Cardiac Testing Technician for daytime coverage in Aberdeen, SD. You will perform electrocardiograms, rhythm strips, and stress testing, under supervision, while supporting patient care needs and documentation.

The role requires flexibility for shift coverage, strong communication, and teamwork in a compassionate community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Ability to work hours as specified and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Care for assigned patients under physician/respiratory therapist guidance.
• Assist with cleaning and disinfecting department equipment.
• Assist with planning and development of new programs and orientation of new hires.
• Maintain records for QA/Im Improvement, OSHA, and accreditation as required.

We are looking for someone flexible to pick up shifts when current employees are out sick or on vacation. Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewResponsible for the collection, transmission, record keeping and charging of various types of cardiac testing including, but not limited to; electrocardiograms, rhythm strips and stress tests.What you will doCares for assigned patients under the guidance of the physician and respiratory therapist on duty.Assists with cleaning and disinfecting of department equipment.Assists with planning and development of new programs.Assists with orientation of new hires in the department.Participates in educational programs, in-services and co-workers meetings.Assists with collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Quality Assessment and Improvement department, Critical Access Hospital accreditation, OSHA guidelines, or as may be required by law.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
