Job summary

Avera St. Luke's is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to perform cardiovascular procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. The role includes assisting physicians, preparing equipment, and supporting training for staff in a fast-paced lab.

Must hold ARRT credentials with required timing and have a strong understanding of ECG and hemodynamics. Weekend call rotates and a sign-on bonus may be offered.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Cath Lab required.
  • ARRT Radiography certification within 60 days.
  • Cardiac Interventional Radiography credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre- and post-procedure care and education.
  • Assist physician and scrub during cases.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and monitor hemodynamics.
  • Maintain documentation and CQI program compliance.

Actual pay rate dependent upon experience.$32.25 - $48.50Position HighlightsDuties hours 0700 to 1530 or 0730 to 1600 Monday thru Friday. Call shared with other staff. Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewPerforms all cardiovascular and/or peripheral vascular procedures at a technical and professional level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail. The Cath Lab Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures on both inpatient and outpatients that require responsible and independent judgment. The individual will assume responsibility and initiative for designated areas and procedures as required. The individual will assist with training, education, and orientation of staff and others. The Cath Lab Technologist will assist in maintenance of the CQI program. Responsible to adhering to and following all Cardiovascular/Angiography Laboratory policy and procedures, and the guidelines of other pertinent regulating agencies.What you will doReceives and screens patients per procedure. Performs pre-procedure assessment.Provides pre-and-post procedure education to the patient and family members.Assembles the proper paperwork necessary prior to the procedure and completes all necessary documentation for completion of the patient's chart.Assists the physician and scrub person during the case.Administers medication and therapy according to the physician's orders.Operates diagnostic equipment necessary to complete procedures.Provides input regarding new policies and procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Angiography Lab.Operates and maintain the hemodynamic monitoring equipment.Maintains transducer balance to hemodynamic system.Recommends interventions to attain expected outcomes.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
