Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist to lead conditioning programs at Altus AFB, OK.

You will design and deliver strength training for NCAA athletes, military personnel, and other high-demand groups, coordinating with medical and leadership teams to enhance performance and wellness. The role requires a CSCS certification, BLS, a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, 3+ years of experience, US Citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience as Strength and Conditioning Coach with NCAA collegiate athletes, professional sports, military, or other high-demand populations.
• NSCA CSCS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Experience designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for individuals and groups.
• Demonstrated experience delivering training and education on injury mitigation and physical conditioning.
• Capable of working outdoors for extended periods in all weather.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Proficiently utilize computers, software, and technologies to document work performed.

Responsibilities

• Coach and design individualized strength and conditioning programs to optimize performance and reduce musculoskeletal injury risk.
• Conduct assessments and customize programs for high-demand populations.
• Collaborate with medical, athletic training, and leadership teams to support recovery and wellness.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings with government leadership to coordinate services.
• Report new or undiagnosed medical conditions to higher levels of care as required.
