Job summary

Shaka Wear, founded in South Los Angeles, seeks a detail-oriented Product Development support specialist to drive streetwear essentials from concept to production. You will research trends, prepare tech packs, and coordinate with overseas factories to ensure accurate construction and timing.

You’ll measure samples, track fittings, maintain fabric libraries, and push for timely updates across development trackers.

Qualifications

• Identify upcoming fashion trends, silhouettes, colors, fabrics and market opportunities.
• Create and update technical callouts, construct notes, and tech packs.
• Accurately measure garments and compare to specs; understand POMs.
• Knowledge of common fabrics (cotton, terry, fleece, jersey, twill, nylon, polyester) and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Development from concept to production stages.
• Research trends and fabrics focused on streetwear culture.
• Prepare and update tech packs and construction notes.
• Measure samples during fittings and log revisions.
• Communicate sample changes with overseas factories and vendors.
• Maintain fabric, trim, and sample libraries; track development timelines.
