The City of Enid is seeking a Streets Department supervisor to oversee operations, training, and performance of Streets personnel. You will direct street, alley, bridge, and drainage maintenance while ensuring safety, compliance, and timely reporting.
The role requires leadership in budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other departments. Strong communication, planning, and supervisory skills are essential for maintaining city infrastructure and public safety.

Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of personnel
To ensure the quality and safety of city streets, alleys, and drainage ditches through efficient operation of the Streets Department by providing for appropriate motivation, oversight, training, tools, and equipment to Department employees.
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed in concrete, asphalt, spraying of chemicals (within one year).
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity to include development of spreadsheets, formulas, record tracking applications, word processing, graphics, etc.
Knowledge of total street, alley, and drainage construction. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
Manual dexterity sufficient to work with the fingers.

Visual Abilities: Normal vision, with or without corrective lenses. Color vision (ability to distinguish colors).
Physical Strength: Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally. Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Occasional climbing.
Language/Comprehension: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematics Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Regular - 10 hour shift, typically 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. 24 - hour call, 7 days a week. Hours may increase during storm seasons. Other - Salaried position requiring occasional attendance at meetings after hours and the ability to respond personally by phone to address problems that may develop after normal work hours.
Outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions. Indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation.
Moderate – Loud. Hearing protection required.
Air contamination, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Vibration.
