Job summary

The City of Crestview's Public Services department is seeking a Laborer I in Streets and Stormwater to perform heavy manual labor, operate light equipment, and assist in maintenance tasks under the Streets Foreman. This full-time position offers benefits and a stable schedule.

Responsibilities include repairing and cleaning streets, sidewalks, alleys, storm sewers, catch basins, and City buildings, and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of tools and equipment used in general maintenance work.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to laboring work.
• Ability to learn the operation of light trucks, tractors, and small automotive equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the repair and cleaning of City streets, sidewalks, alleys, storm sewers, catch basins, and City buildings: operates assigned equipment.
• Other related duties as assigned.
