Job summary

City of Coolidge is seeking a Streets Maintenance/Light Equipment Operator to support city streets operations and vehicle fleets. The role requires CDL Class B with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within six months and at least one year of light equipment experience.

You will operate various trucks and heavy equipment to maintain roadways. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with competitive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
• Must possess Arizona CDL Class B with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 1 year of light equipment operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives a variety of vehicles to support city streets maintenance (dump truck, ten-wheeler, water truck, garbage truck, bulk trash).
• Operates front loader and back hoe for digging trenches and other tasks.
• Patches holes, sweeps streets, repairs street signs, and paints as needed.
• Trims trees, removes brush, grades alleyways, and crack seals streets.
• Provides emergency on-call assistance for sewer issues and supports solid waste activities.
