Job summary

City of Corinth is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support Public Works. The role involves general labor to maintain streets and infrastructure, operating tools and equipment, and responding to emergencies and special events. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience.

Work is performed under supervision with emphasis on safety, accuracy and teamwork. CDL and related incentives may apply, and duties include after-hours responses as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; AND one year of maintenance work experience.
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor to maintain streets, drainage and infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment; report safety hazards and problems.
• Assist in repairs of drainage systems and roadways; inspect drains and manholes.
• Follow safety regulations and work outside of normal hours for emergencies or events.
