Job summary

The City of Missouri City is seeking a Streets Crew Leader within the Public Works Department to supervise a crew responsible for the repair and maintenance of streets and drainage infrastructure. The role emphasizes safe, timely, and accurate work delivery under the Streets Superintendent.

The candidate will handle day-to-day direction, coordinate activities, and ensure proper use of safety equipment, along with performing administrative duties and training staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily crew activities and provide direction to Streets Crew.
• Perform administrative duties including contracts, work orders, and procurement.
• Maintain and repair streets and drainage, including curbs, sidewalks, and potholes.
• Operate light- and heavy-duty equipment as needed.
• Respond to emergencies with traffic control, debris removal, and safety measures.
• Train crew members on safe operation of equipment and evaluate performances.
