Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring a Street Sweeper in Irondale, AL. You will operate street sweepers on assigned routes, perform safety inspections, and ensure timely completion of duties in varied conditions.

Eligible applicants must have a CDL-A, a DOT medical card, and at least 21 years old, with 1 year of DOT driving experience. Salary is hourly with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred.
• CDL-A & DOT Medical Card required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass MVR check, background check, and drug screening as per policy and law.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Execute routes efficiently and complete jobs within allotted time.
• Operate street sweeper safely and in accordance with laws and procedures.
• Handle materials safely and dispose of waste per protocols.
• Report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
