Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring a Day Street Sweeper (CDL B) for the Downingtown, PA area on the 1st shift. Pay is $22-$23 per hour with a scheduled pay increase at 6 months, and minimal travel expected.

The role involves operating a street sweeper, driving on routes, and performing routine safety inspections and equipment maintenance. DOT driving experience is preferred, along with a valid CDL-B and DOT Medical Card.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services preferred.
• License: CDL-B and DOT Medical Card.
• Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Compliance: Must pass MVR check, background check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure safety features are operational.
• Execution: Review routes before departure and complete jobs within timeframes with quality.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate street sweeping equipment and follow traffic laws and site protocols.
• Material Handling: Safely manage materials and follow disposal procedures.
• Reporting: Report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
• Professional Communication: Maintain a professional appearance and communicate with supervisors, teammates, and clients.
• Compliance & Documentation: Complete logs, manifests, and required forms accurately.
• Adaptability & Problem Solving: Adjust to changes and resolve issues promptly.
• Regular & Predictable Attendance: Report on time and adhere to schedule.
