Job summary

The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk Inc. is seeking a Street Outreach Worker Supervisor to lead outreach in targeted communities and prevent violence through nonviolent intervention.

You will coordinate daily briefings, field work, and collaboration with local law enforcement and community organizations. The role requires experience with high-risk populations, strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• Experience with high-risk populations.

• Willingness to work on the street and in unstructured situations.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct street outreach to prevent violence.
• Hold daily staff activity meetings.
• Hold daily briefings to assess interventions.
• Conduct zone checks to ensure staff coverage.
• Review logs and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Maintain client files and program reports.
• Collaborate with community, outreach programs, and law enforcement.
• Provide case management and linkage to collaborating agencies.
• Implement violence prevention models and interventions.
• Ensure culturally and linguistically appropriate strategies.
• Participate in Violence Prevention Coordinating Council.
• Be trained in neighborhood violence prevention model.
• Reflect the target population.
• On-call 24/7 for incidents.
• Provide advocacy and mentoring.
• Rotating schedule including weekends and nights.
