Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor for the Street Operations Division's South Asphalt section, overseeing 2,604 lane miles of asphalt street maintenance with field staff and heavy equipment at the Southside Service Center. This leadership role requires hands-on experience in asphalt maintenance, building and leading teams, and coordinating with internal/external customers.

The position works Tue-Fri 7am-5:30pm with on-call rotation, and offers strong benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with specialized training related to operations.
• Four years of related experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize scheduled and emergency work
• Provide direct in-field supervision of crews working on all phases of maintenance operations
• Schedule and monitor maintenance projects and improve efficiency
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a safe worksite
• Ensure compliance of policies and procedures
• Read engineering plans and blueprints
• Communicate with internal and external customers
