Job summary

City of Oakdale (MN) seeks a Street Maintenance team member to support the City’s infrastructure, performing snow and ice removal, pavement repair, and essential street maintenance. You will operate trucks and heavy equipment, read plans, and coordinate with residents on environmental topics.

The role emphasizes problem-solving and public service, with potential for extended days, callbacks, and variable shifts to support maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of trucks/light equipment preferred.
• CDL Class B with air brakes and tanker endorsement within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform snow and ice removal and street maintenance.
• Operate single and tandem-axle dump trucks and other equipment safely.
• Repair and maintain asphalt/concrete; patch potholes and overlay roadways.
• Install and maintain traffic signs and pavement markings.
• Assist in Parks, Street, Fleet, and Utility divisions as needed.
• Work extended hours, callbacks, and shift schedules as required.
