Job summary

The City of Wasco is seeking a Street Maintenance Technician I to perform routine and skilled heavy physical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of streets, right-of-way, and City facilities. You will operate trucks and a variety of hand and power tools and may undertake graffiti abatement tasks as needed.

Knowledge of traffic control devices, landscaping, streetlights, and parking meters is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine and skilled heavy physical work.
• Ability to operate trucks and a variety of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of graffiti abatement and removal is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of streets and public right-of-way.
• Maintain City facilities, traffic control devices, landscaping, streetlights, and parking meters.
• Operate trucks and a range of hand and power tools and equipment.
• May work independently on graffiti abatement and removal; heavy equipment skills would be a plus.
