Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a Public Works Technician - Water to safely operate light to heavy equipment used in street maintenance. This on-site role requires a valid CDL with Air Brake and A endorsements within 6 months of hire.

The incumbent will contribute to utility construction, road maintenance and related tasks, in a union-represented environment with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, paid vacation, sick and holiday leave.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• CDL with Air Brake endorsement; A endorsement within 6 months of hire.
• Prior experience in road maintenance, underground utility construction or landscape work.

Job description

Starting Hourly Rate: $23.50

After hire, pay increases are dependent on length of service, advancement in the position, and other contractual factors.
