Job summary

The Town of Carrboro, NC is seeking a capable street maintenance lead to supervise and participate in a crew performing maintenance and construction on streets, curbs, gutters, and related facilities. You will read blueprints, operate grader/backhoe/roller, and ensure crew safety and productivity.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, NC CDL Class B or ability to obtain within six months, and willingness to be on call. Regular supervision by the Street Superintendent applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and extensive experience in skilled/semiskilled maintenance or construction work.
• Possession of NC CDL Class B license or ability to obtain within six months.
• On-call availability.
