Job summary

City of O'Fallon, IL is seeking a Public Works Maintenance- Streets worker to participate in maintaining and repairing city streets and storm sewer infrastructure. The role involves manual tasks and occasional operation of commercial equipment, under supervision by the Streets Foreman.

Starting pay is union hourly, $35.28/hr without CDL-B and $35.78/hr with CDL-B, with increases of $3/hr after year one and a further $3/hr after year two.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of Public Works maintenance experience required.
• CDL-B license and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in cleaning and unclogging storm sewer lines, manholes and catch basins.
• Assists with concrete work.
• Performs street maintenance duties: cleaning gutters, snow plowing, picking up debris.
• Loads/unloads heavy materials; operates heavy machinery and power equipment.
• Performs grounds maintenance: pruning, spraying, mowing; trims vegetation.
