Job summary

The City of Clinton Public Works Department is seeking a full-time Street Maintenance Worker to maintain streets, parking lots and related property, including concrete repairs and asphalt patching, at 210 Nave Street, Clinton, TN.

The role involves operating trucks and a range of construction equipment, performing preventive maintenance, handling storm debris, and assisting with safety trainings and city events; candidates must have a high school diploma and at least two years of manual labor

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
• Minimum two (2) years experience performing manual labor with asphalt and cement, street maintenance or construction related work.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Tennessee driver’s license by date of hire.
• Possession of a Tennessee Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains streets, parking lots and related property, including concrete repairs and asphalt patching.
• Operates trucks and construction equipment to load, haul, and repair streets.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Assists with yard waste, brush, and storm debris cleanup and storm-related debris.
• Attends safety and training sessions and assists with city events.
