Job summary

City of Shawnee is seeking a Street Maintenance Worker I or II to perform manual and semi-skilled duties in street upkeep. You will operate light equipment, repair streets, and maintain rights-of-way, with occasional snow removal responsibilities.

Level I requires high school plus 1 year of experience; Level II requires 2 years. Must have a valid Oklahoma Class A CDL within six months and Confined Space Entry Certification. This is a safety-sensitive role with DOT considerations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level I requires 1 year of work experience; Level II requires 2 years.
• Must obtain Confined Space Entry Certification.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class A CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain light street maintenance equipment.
• Perform manual and semi-skilled work on streets and rights-of-way.
• Assist with street repairs and debris removal as needed.
• Set up work zones and assist in snow removal when required.
• Maintain records of equipment, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injury and exposure to hazards.
