Job summary

The City of Branson is seeking a Street Maintenance Lead to guide a dynamic crew in daily upkeep and enhancement of our streets and sidewalks.

You will supervise crews, ensure proper training and equipment, and manage safe work zones in accordance with MUTCD standards. The role includes winter response and hands-on maintenance duties around Branson, MO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of street maintenance experience.
• Work zone safety certification from IMSA or LTAP.
• Right-of-way applicator's license for herbicide.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Public Works/Engineering Department is seeking a dedicated Street Maintenance Lead to guide a dynamic crew in the daily upkeep and enhancement of our city's streets and sidewalks.

What You\'ll Do:

• Equip & Train Crews – Ensure teams have the right tools, functioning equipment, and proper training for safe and efficient work, including operating snowplows and aerial lifts.
• Manage Work Zones & Safety – Set up and maintain temporary work zones following MUTCD standards, ensuring public and crew safety.
• Utilize Technology – Use computers, handheld devices, and geo-data tracking for timekeeping, job site navigation, and equipment monitoring.
• Lead Street Crews – Oversee and direct daily operations, including street repairs, sweeping, ditch maintenance, and winter weather response.
• Get Hands-On – Perform essential tasks like concrete and asphalt repair, tree trimming, mowing, and snow plowing.

What are the Requirements for this Role?

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of experience in performing street maintenance or closely related field.
• Certification in work zone safety from IMSA or LTAP.
• Right-of-way applicator\'s license for herbicide.

Miscellaneous Requirements of this position

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver\'s license and must be insurable under the City of Branson\'s motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Be willing to participate in Call-Out duty, On-Call duty rotation, work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours.
• Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March.
• Possess a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver\'s License with Air Brake endorsement.
• Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, as well as a physical agility screening.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting hourly wage is $25.66per hour and will increase to $26.69 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK HOURS:

Typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

WORK LOCATION:

In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
