Job summary

City of Odessa, Texas is seeking a Street Maintenance worker to help maintain and repair streets, roadways and City infrastructure under basic supervision. You will operate PWD vehicles and equipment following safety rules and standard procedures.

The role requires use of proper safety precautions, regular attendance, and ability to work with the public with courtesy. A Texas Driver's license is required; CDL is preferred but not mandatory initially.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some related work experience is desired.
• Knowledge of basic traffic control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining and repairing streets, roadways, and infrastructure.
• Operates PWD vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains safety and reports hazards and hazards, and incidents.
• Attends regularly to support division operations.
