Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations, OSHA and MUTCD.
• Ability to lead street maintenance crews and coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead street maintenance crews and prepare equipment and materials to meet PWD standards.
• Coordinate staff, vehicles, and equipment; assign and review tasks.
• Train crew in procedures and safety standards; address performance issues.
• Prepare daily activity reports and material usage reports.
• Oversee safety in work zones and ensure equipment is in safe condition.
• Respond to emergencies and oversee crew during incidents for public safety.
• Operate trucks and heavy equipment; report maintenance needs.
• Support City operations with regular attendance and community relations.
